We do. In order to determine if it qualified for warranty repair, I needed the purchase date. Since I wasn't sure when it had been purchased, I quickly did a property search in halFILE (we scan and index all our accounting records in HF) and was able to pull up the invoice on my screen, and provide the manufacturer with the purchase date, model number, and serial number, all within a few minutes. I never left my desk. I didn't have to dig through months and months of paper files. I didn't have to interrupt anyone to get help. No, I didn't have to do any of that. I did it by myself with the help of halFILE! So if you aren't using halFILE to image your accounting paperwork, maybe you should be. And if you aren't sure how to begin, just ask us.
